It is a brand new year and we have been very busy packing for our container.  We are very thankful for how the Lord has provided and continues to provide items and funds to make this happen.  It’s a very busy time.  We are looking forward to shipping the first of February.  Thank you for praying!

Gift of the Word

IMG_5883Our deputation travels have proven to be a sweet time of blessings. Two recent “priceless jewels” we have received are: a study Bible and a hand knitted cross. The study Bible has many signs of years of use.  What a blessing and memory that these saints shared with us on our journey.  The Word of God is a wonderful gift.  I am reminded of the many times I have had the wonderful opportunity to pass out God’s Word to adults and children in Zambia who were hungry for the Truth.  Thank you for praying for us.

Statue of Liberty

We recently had the opportunity to stop at Liberty State Park in New Jersey on our way to a meeting.  The Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline was on the agenda.  We are very thankful to be able to travel being an encouragement to churches.  It is also great to be able to learn more about our country and the freedoms we enjoy.

The Newest Z

The end of March and all of April thus far has been a whirlwind as my two older daughters and I headed back to AL to be with my wife and 3 year old in the delivery of our 4th girl.  It was a difficult situation as we were in and out of the hospital several times before our newest Z was born.  Joy broke out when Zadie was born on April 1st (no fooling!).  We are excited about the next (and last) addition to our family.  Please continue to pray for their recovery.  We have enjoyed being at home with friends and family for the month of April but we are eager to get back on the road as soon as everyone is well enough to travel.  God has truly blessed us and taken care of us.  We are so thankful and excited about the road ahead.  This new baby is a great reminder of all the souls we meet on a daily basis and the ones in Zambia that are waiting to be born again!  Thank you for your prayer support!

We had the opportunity to visit Washington DC in a recent trip to the area for a missions conference.  It is always enjoyable to learn about the history of our country and be reminded of the freedoms we have here.  It was especially great to be able to take my two older girls.  I was reminded about the freedom and liberty found in Christ.  It is such a blessing to share about the freedom found in Christ with others as we travel the country sharing about taking the ministry in Zambia.  We are also excited about eventually getting to Zambia to share the love of Christ.  Thank you for praying for us!

The deputation road can get tiresome and discouraging sometimes.  It is always such an encouragement to meet people that have stuck with it!  We were recently in a missions conference where a special speaker was added at the last minute.  It was Tommy Tillman, missionary reaching souls in Thailand and Mongolia.  He was joined by his grandson who was also planning to go to the same area and minister.  It is such a blessing to see those that have stuck with the stuff for so many years and see all that God has done in and through them.  It is encouraging to know that God has great plans for us and we need not let discouraging times get us down.  Great things await if we faint not.  Thank you to everyone who has been praying for us.  Keep it up!

Happy New Year

2015 is here and we are excited about all the Lord is doing. With the New Year, come new challenges. There is a full year ahead of meetings and opportunities to share what all God is doing in our lives. It is such a blessing to know people are praying for us. We received an email in response to our latest prayer letter letting us know prayer was going out for our needs. They were praising the Lord for his blessings in our lives. Baby #4 is doing great and we look forward to meeting her in several months. Thank you for praying!

Merry Christmas!

We trust everyone had an enjoyable Thanksgiving time with friends and family.  We are now full swing into the Christmas season.  What better way to celebrate the birth of our Lord than to talk about the reason he was born in the first place…missions.  We are excited about all God is doing in our lives and in Zambia.  Our latest prayer letter summaries what God has done recently and looks forward to a very busy 2015 sharing the ministry in Zambia around the country.  Praise the Lord for that!  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone and thank you for praying for us!

Thanksgiving in Our Heart

I apologize for not getting the blog updated since September.  We have been on the road for the past 10 weeks.  Where has the time gone?  We are excited about all the Lord has done and all the churches we have been in.  Thank you for praying for us.  Please continue to keep Amanda in your prayers during this time as she has lost her grandfather.  It is our prayer that you have a Happy Thanksgiving with friends and family.  We do have much to be thankful for.  The Lord has been tremendously good for all of us.  We recently received a call from a church telling us they were taking us on for support!  Praise the Lord.  We are very thankful.
